Description: First edition. Signed by the author. Measures approximately 9 x 12.25 inches. Dust jacket is in very good condition. Book is in fine condition. Dust jacket has edge wear along the spine ends and top with two small chips, along with two small holes, one on the front and one on the spine. Spine has rubbing but no toning or fading. The back has a 1-inch pen mark. Price shows $3.50. Dust jacket is in a new protective Brodart cover. Boards have little to no wear. Board corners are sharp and square. Spine is tight. Pages are clean and crisp. Signed by Ludwig Bemelmans on the half-title page. No other writing. Minor soiling on a couple of pages. The sixth book in the Madeline series.

Boldly signed by Ludwig Bemelmans on the half-title page. Fine in a near fine dust jacket. Rare and desirable signed and in this condition. Madeline and her class, accompanied by Miss Clavel, journey to London to visit their friend Pepito, the son of the Spanish Ambassador. Pepito used to be the neighbor of Madeline and the other students but had to move to London and is not happy. The visit by his friends is a special surprise.
