Red buckram, rubbed and slightly frayed at the edges and corners, with white ink lettering on the spine. Square and firmly bound, clean internally. Amis's debut novel about college professor Jim Dixon. The novel won the Somerset Maugham Award and was listed as one of the 100 best English-language novels by Time Magazine.
