Head of spine with a faint red mark to the parchment spine, purple ink gift inscription to half-title at the head and foot, but overall a nice clean and tight copy. Without the slipcase. Edition of 1000 copies, this is no. 459, signed by Maugham. The Jubilee edition.

Somerset Maugham.? Also included is most of a large envelope, addressed in Maugham's hand to the same person (in Herne Bay, Kent, Angleterre) - probably the envelope in which Maugham sent the book. A fine copy, with a fine dust jacket (made of the same paper as was used to bind the volume) housed in a leather morocco-backed clamshell case.
