This book was the winner of the first Los Angeles Times Book Award in 1980. Kelly has been associated with the Black Mountain poets, bu t underneath his photograph in the back of this book is the statement 'Everything that ought to be known about Robert Kelly can be found in his books, of which this is the fortieth.' so there is nothing to add to that. 242 pp. Very near fine in stiff paper covers (slight fading to blue spine.)

As in the deluxe issue of this title, there is an original ink drawing and holograph poem by Kelly tipped-in after the title page. Finally, the book is dated (28 January 1980) and INSCRIBED by Kelly to John and Barbara Martin over the fixed and free front endpapers.
