Description: Hardcover book, first edition (U.S.) in dusjacket, Signed and dated by Graham Greene to title page -Oct. 63. No dedication. This was Julian Jebb's copy (Literary critic and film producer) with his signed book plate to front endpaper. Two journals that greene wrote on trips to the Belgian Congo in 1959 and to West Africa in 1941 which were used for the basis of his novels A Burnt Out Case and The Heart of the Matter. Enclosed is a letter from Jebb's partner explaining the background to the collection he was disposing of. A Very Good copy in a Very Good dustjacket with light edge wear. Covers slightly faded.
