An account of big game hunting in Africa by the Pulitzer-Prize winning cartoonist and war correspondent who spent over 40 years at the Chicago Tribune. Illustrations include numerous photographs and cartoons by the author. A very worn copy with some spotting and edgewear to the covers. The spine is worn with a gouge in the middle and much chipping and wear to the spine label. The text is good with light soiling and a few roughly-opened page edges. The frontispiece is soiled with a chip to the top corner. The hinges are cracked but the binding is secure. Scarce. Foreign postage will be extra on this heavy book.

Description: This is number 68 of 250 limited edition copies signed by the author. Hardback book is sturdy, and complete. The covers show soiling (spine is pretty nice) and the corners show wear with cardboard exposed. There are a few light fingermarks, two pages with tears in the margin and twp glossy illustration partially loose. Previous owner bookplate inside the front cover and previous owner has written "Finished 10:00 pm in our living room at Ellendale Farm" on the final page. The hinges are cracked and just beginning to pull away but all is secure.
