SIGNED BY ANSEL ADAMS on tipped-in signature plate. used hardcover in a dust jacke with slipcase. slipcase is pulling apart at topmost edge, still intact. jacket is VG- with minor wear around edges, no tears. tipped-in signature page has pulled lose from original pastedown tape, still entirely intact and clean. pages and binding are clean, straight and tight. there are no marks to the text or other serious flaws aside from those described above.

This tipped-in sheet has pulled loose; present, but separated from the binding. Just a bit of VERY light sunning along the top edges of the boards. The bottom front corner is bumped. Else the binding is clean. DJ spine very slightly sun-darkened. 1-1/4" closed tear at the top edge of the DJ rear panel. 1" thin surface scuff on the DJ rear panel. Else DJ clean. Handsome copy printed on thick glossy paper. Glorious full page images on endpapers. Covers are in light gray linen with blue-gray spine strip, with silver lettering. Spine strip has a block of fading to front with much lesser amount to rear. Silver gilting remains sharp. Half-title page with signature has a couple of small old age spots. Glossy jacket with mild edgewear, surface feathering and some creasing at top back edge. VERY HEAVY book, so please no international deliveries without consult re shipping. Separate signed print which originally came with this edition NOT present. Dust jacket has a crease at the top of front panel but is otherwise brilliant. The quality of the images in thsi volume are superior to many of the other editions of Ansel Adams photographs.
