Description: 1st edition (1972) of this Caldecott Medal winner, signed by illustrator Leonard Baskin in red ink on the front end paper. The book itself is in fine condition. The dust jacket has a 3/4" closed tear at front top, a 1/4" closed tear at rear top and a 2" water stain in lower right front corner. The water stain does not affect the book.

In protective archival sleeve.

Description: Viking Press, 1972, First Edition, Hardback with DW, slim 4to, SIGNED Presentation Copy from Authors on front page "Antoine with the love of Lisa, Leonard and Hosie 1972". Illustrated in colour throughout. Board extremities are slightly worn and rubbed and slight bumping to head and tail of spine. Contents very clean and fresh. Wrapper is partially browned and a little worn at extremities with a couple of small close tears to top margin of front panel and is slightly chipped at tail of spine.
