Description: 61pp. Green cloth covered boards with gilt lettering on spine. Top edge gilt. Frontispiece and four other full page engravings by Gwenda Morgan. Crease to cloth at tip of top and tail of spine. Foxing to front and rear end pages. Rusty paper clip mark to top edge of ffep. Previous owner's pencil note on ffep. Weak binding to front end pages, pp16/17, pp32/33 and pp48/49. Otherwise clean inside pages. Grey price clipped dust jacket with engraving (copy of frontis) on front panel. Black lettering. Sun toned spine with slight loss at top and tail of spine. Wear to corners and small closed tear to rear panel top corner. Now protected within clear archival wrapper. Together with a 4pp prospectus for this book printed on same paper stock. Sample page of text (p65) and one of the engravings (facing p36). Shelf wear with light toning to font page edges. Previously folded in half - now laid flat and protected within an archival envelope. Also laid in is a hand written letter from the author (not related to the book), dated May 29th 1947.
