Condition: Near Fine

Description: Stated First Edition/First Printing with the Currey "A" binding, in the first state 4-color dust jacket; A Near Fine book in a Very Good dust jacket. SIGNED by the author to an affixed bookplate to the front free paper. An outstanding copy of this seminal novel, the second in the Foundation series; uncommon in the first printing and in collectible condition, certainly enhanced with Asimov's signature. This copy is in near fine condition with a square, tight binding, sharp black lettering over red boards, and clean white pages throughout free from markings; the book does show some light rubbing to the boards and board edges, and some mild age-spotting to the free papers and pastedowns. Housed in a clean and bright very good dust jacket that shows moderate sunning to the spine, some light rubbing and creasing to the spine ends, corners, and folds, and a couple of small rubs to the front panel. Overall, a highly presentable and collectible copy; Not remaindered, not price clipped ($2.75 intact), not ex-library; in a fresh Mylar sleeve and will ship carefully wrapped in a sturdy box.
