Description: 6 1/4 inches x 9 3/4 in., 47 pp. with printer's colophon on the reverse of p. 47; illustrated with 14 black & white photo illustrations, reproducing various Deming artworks, photo-portrait of Deming, photo-reproduction of a 1917 Theodore Roosevelt letter to Deming. Prints the texts of several letters to Deming, from Frederic Remington, Theodore Roosevelt, Zuloaga, F. W. Hodge, Francis LaFlesche Walter Hough, Clark Wissler; lists of owners of artworks. Gray, textured Strathmore Charcoal paper wrappers with design titling in brown on the front cover, stapled. The front cover shows a brown stain, dusting, erasures, pages show light, age-related tanning, a few small stains. Contents: [American] "Indian Mysticism", by Henry Fairfield Osborn; "Edwin Willard Deming A Sketch"; Letter & Poem: "The Good Luck Arrow" for the Deming painting, by Alfred L. This copy is from the collection of William G. Mather (1857-1951), and bears his bookplate on the inner front cover; he was associated with the Cleveland [Ohio] Museum of Art. Scarce item.
