Boldly inscribed by Dali on the inside front cover and blank front endpaper, creating a magnificent full 2 page spread illustration which he has drawn. He writes: ''Pour Contesse Victoria de Ramel / nord su compleanos enero [for your birthday in January] / 27 1965 / Dali''. The illustration depicts a large birthday cake [incorporating yet a second Dali signature] topped by a crown and yet another crown and cross above it, against a barren landscape. The book is also additionally inscribed by CARLOS ALEMANY, the Argentinean jeweler craftsman who uniquely and personally hand made all of the Salvador Dali jewelry: To Vicky as a remembrance of los tiernpos passados [past times] Carlos Alemany / Janaury 27th, 1965'. This volume also contains [tipped in], three formal photo illustrations/printed descriptions of additional pieces crafted between 1956 and 1961 that were added to the collection. (The collection was originally on loan at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Richmond, Virginia, and now, we believe, housed in Spain.) A wonderful, typical Dali drawing, fully inscribed and bearing 2 Dali signatures, with the added bonus of the Alemany s inscription on a separate leaf. Just a superb display item!
