Inscribed on the first page to editor and friend Harry Ford and his wife: "Harry & Kathleen / and much love / from / Reynolds Price / 12-78." Harry Ford was an editor at Atheneum, publisher of Reynolds Price's early trade publications. Harry Ford also designed most of the Reynolds Price titles published by Atheneum, and Price dedicated his play "Early Dark" to Harry and Kathleen Ford. A poem issued as a Christmas greeting by the publisher and author, with a nice association.

Printed as a holiday greeting from the poet and the publisher and not offered for sale.
