Armitage, Merle, appended texts. Robert Marks, cataloguer. Merle Armitage bibliography (Books Written and Designed by M.A.). E. Weyhe, New York, 1956.

Price: US$54.50 + shipping

Description: Marks' careful list is not annotated, but see his introductory essay which runs about fifteen pages. There is appended supplementary material, such as "Portion of an Address by M.A," Ephemera, and Work in Progress. This item is of course M.A.-designed but we do not see it listed; it consists of 99p., foreword, rubricated title page and a Brett Weston photoportrait. First edition trade paperback limited to 500 copies, 150 of which (like this one) are in wraps. A good exemplar, a bit edgeworn with front joint-line showing abrasion and light creasing to corner-tips, signed magnificently on the free front blank and datelined 1957. We cannot make out the name of the inscribee, that's how magnificent.
