Description: First edition, advance copy. Oblong small quarto. [44]pp., consisting of eight unbound and unsewn quires. Fine. Signed by Beckett on the limitation page and designated by the publisher as an out-of-series copy of the 25 signed by Beckett (of 325 total). The editor, Christopher Ricks, has transcribed four variant texts of "As The Story Was Told," enhancing the text with selections from other Beckett titles. A nice typographical presentation, printed in two colors; the endpapers reproduce Beckett's manuscript in holograph facsimile. Rare in this format; this is the only advance copy of this publication that we have seen.
