Description: Signed by author on the verso of the front end paper. An uncommon travel book by Thomas Robert Dewar, 1st Baron Dewar, one of the founders of the Dewar whisky brand. Portrait frontis present with browning to the tissue guard. Spine ends and corners bumped. Light wear to hinges. Book is cocked but it's not bad. Boards are clean and the only significant flaw is a 2" line of staining from the top of the spine down to the R of Round in the title. Internally hinges lightly cracked but holding solid. There are no flaws of note in the nicely illustrated text. Not a common book and scarce signed.
