Front hinge cracked with no effect on binding. Light mottling to some of the pages, block true and solid. Contains volume IV of the author's History of the Reign of the Emperor Charles V.

Half leather over marbled boards, black leather labels in gilt, leather scuffed and scratched, corners lightly bumped, ink name and bookplate to endpapers, sporadic light foxing but on the whole, a good clean set, text blocks and bindings tight and square, all maps and present and in excellent condition.
