Slight edge ruffling, dusting to dustjacket edges, 1" chip out of dj. paper to upper edge of back dj. inner flap, rubbing with some slight wear to upper edge of the dj., tanning to spine of dj. Fine copy (clean, unused, copy, which appears to be unread); small penciled dealer's catalogue number to upper left corner of back paste-down, in a very good dustjacket. Scan shows the spine & front panel of the dustjacket, displayed on the book. Purchased from Bill Targ's Chicago Argus Book Shop, in the 1930's, by Cleveland, Ohio-based book collector, C. T. Lonney (but without marks of his ownership). Publisher's statement from the front inner dj. flap: "As in the case of Mr. Kipling's earlier volumes, most of the stories in 'Limits and Renewals' have appeared in periodicals; but the following three are now published for the first time: 'The Tie,' 'Aunt Ellen,' and 'Uncovenanted Mercies.'
