Description: London: Chapman and Hall, 1875. These early works date to 1839. This is a Very Good copy of a later printing, the "Household Edition." Green decorative cloth binding, stamped in black and gilt; gilt titling on the spine. The same format/binding was used in the American version published by Harper Brothers; this English issue, however, is smaller. Clean text; viii, 240 pages. Thirty-four illustrations by F. Barnard. Light rubbing to the margins; some scattered spotting throughout. There is no publication date, but circa 1875. Later Printing. Decorative Cloth. Very Good/No Jacket. Illus. by F. Barnard. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
