Text has slightly yellowed with age but is tight in it's binding. No interior marks or foxing. The dust jacket is black and light grey. Wrap illustration on spine and front section, light grey back and flaps. Unclipped with very little wear. We have placed it in a protective cover. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall

Dust jacket is price clipped, sunned to spine, some light soiling to rear cover. Events move rapidly toward climax and anti-climax in this skillfully written novel which in its theme suggests Henry James' The Turn of the Screw, and in its treatment Francis Brett Young's Cold Harbour, though it is a completely original work of marked power and a fine quality of imaginative adventure.

Equally attractive unclipped wrapper, ($2.50), has a very mildly toning spine but is fresh and bright with no chipping, creases or tears. "Jack Buck "Horror Library" written in purple marker on the bottom of the dedication page. Published by Arkham House in an edition of 2,949 copies, (Jaffery p22). It was the first full-length novel to be published by Arkham House and was listed as the initial book in the Library of Arkham House Novels of Fantasy and Terror. A very pretty collectable copy at a great price.
