The first appearance of Wisdom's Daughter was as a serialized novel, published in Hutchinson's Magazine in 13 parts from March 1922 through March 1923. It was published in book form in in London on March 9, 1923, by Hutchinson & Co in the UK. Wisdom’s Daughter is the final published book in the Ayesha series but is a prequel to the first book titled “She". It tells the story of Ayesha’s two-thousand-year life, from ancient Arabia, to Egypt, Persia, Greece, and on to Kôr.in the series, Along with the other three novels in the series, Wisdom's Daughter was adapted into the 1935 film “She”.
