Price: US$74.80 + shipping

Condition: Good

Description: Compendium of two of Bloomfield's poetic works. First, his celebrated long poem "The Farmer's Boy" originally published in 1800. This publication is dated 1805. The second part (separately paginated) consists of his "Wild Flowers" collection (originally published 1806; this publication also dated 1806) to which is appended "Good Tidings" (1804). Copy is in good- condition. As would be expected of a book of this age, there is considerable wear and rubbing to the quarter leather boards. Gilt text and decoration on the spine is still very bright however. The interior is generally very good. No markings. Marbled end papers. Minimal foxing to "The Farmer's Boy", though there is some foxing and minor staining to "Wild Flowers". Binding is still solid, though rear hinge is a little loose in the back sections. Hinge visible in some places towards the back of the book. Still, a fairly well preserved copy of an unusual and rare text.
