Description: John Alexander Hunter n(1882(7) -1963) was perhaps the best African professional hunters of the 20th century. Many of his world records still stands. White Hunter was his very first book, originally published in 1938 in London. But it took another 14 years before Hunter became famous when his classic book Hunter came out in 1952 and hundreds of thousands of that title has been printed since, followed by Hunters Tracks, and African Bush Adventures ( with Dan Mannix. This edition of . White Hunter (1986) was sold out soon after it was published as a limited edition of 1000 copies ( this is #668), bound in simulated snakeskin cloth as the original housed in a beautiful black slipcase. Appears to be hardly read. Illustrated with photographs ( see images), 282 pages with index. The hunting adventures related in this volume covers the first several years of his life in Kenya. A Very good tight volume in a bright slipcase. No jacket was issued. Special Limited edition.
