Description: Very Good 4to-over 9¾"-12" tall. Small 4to, bound in beautiful turquoise cloth with a few faint water-stains on spine only. Gilt lettering on spine and on intact front-cover paste-down. Description: The piece on page 39, of this 110 page volume is called: ` Some Scattering Remarks of Bub's'. Read more about : Hamey Tincher, Tentoleena Land, carriage-maker, summertime, Bud Mitchell, double-rig, pie-dough biscuits, and goldun rule. From the Raggedy Man (one of my personal favourites) on page 17; we learn about Squidgicum-Squees, and Wunks - that live in a hole in the ground. I guess you'd call this Victorian fantasy. Every story (most?) has one full page colour, period illustration that will delight you. Cond : Boards are green with gilt lettering on spine. Front cover illustration by Betts is of two children in a field of daisies. Issued w/o dust jacket (??) End-papers are pictorial. Colours bright, binding tight. Minimal wear. Description: Reprint. Profusely illustrated with lovely, well-preserved "pictures" by Ethel Franklin Betts. Green clothbound library bound edition without a jacket. Exterior is clean and square. Interior is lightly but noticeably soiled by finger smudges to approximately one-third of page margins. Numerous illustrations are clear. Prior owner's name and inscription is on fep. Pages are complete and intact except for rear free-end-paper, which is ripped out. "An' that's all" is final sentence.
