This copy has survived remarkably well, with bumped corners and some rubbing and soiling, but otherwise bright and intact, the Litographic colours to both sides well preserved and top edge gilt still shiny. 262pp + 8pp suplementary catalogue (Number 1, 1896) bound in at end advertising further publications, the first being Henry James' 'What Maisie Knew'. Contents well-bound, excepting ffeps and Half-Title, which are loosening. One leaf with crease from corner having been bent over. Text clean and bright throughout, with no additional marks, annotations or inscriptions. Sections a little irregular in size, untrimmed bottom and fore-edge. Overall, a nice copy.
