Some slight edge wear to top and bottom of classic Hodder yellow jacket and spine, some slight dust staining and a couple of small scraped patches to bright unfaded back jacket, not price clipped (price on spine 2/-), previous owner's inscription to ffep, internally clean tight and almost square, overall a vg+ copy for its age. 319pp. Pearl Zane Grey (1872-1939), was a very prolific American author and dentist best known for his popular western adventure novels. He idealized the American frontier. 'Riders of the Purple Sage' (1912) was his best selling book. Even after his death, Harper had a stockpile of his manuscripts and continued to publish a new title each year until 1963.
