Description: [1936]. We have listed American and English titles of the same book for comparison. The artwork and text are the same, although there is a difference in the setup of the title pages and frontispieces. All illustrations in both cases are in duo-tone, Whitman using red and black, and Collins using both red and black and green and black. Both are thin octavo pictorial paper-covered boards. Collins has the title on the spine. The Whitman spine is plain. The Whitman copy has surface flaking on the spine and board edges. The frontispiece is cleanly detached but present, and there are a few very shallow chips at the edges of the fragile pages. The Collins copy is fine inside and out. An interesting comparison in the way Disney was represented on both sides of the Atlantic. Munsey p. 178. The pair:

Full color "Linen-Like" pictorial paper wrappers in extremely nice condition. The only sign of wear or handling at all is a minute amount of rubbing to the bottom one-half inch of the spine that is only noticable under extremely close inspection. Ten pages within, each with a full color illustration and a few lines of text telling this wonderful story of a Christmas party at Mickey's house. In addition to Mickey Mouse, we have Donald Duck, Horace Horsecollar, Goofy, Clarabelle Cow, Pluto, Mickey's Orphans, Minnie Mouse and the Three Little Pigs. With the exception of a very small, neatly written name, in the upper left-hand corner of the inside front cover, this interior of this book is in MINT, AS NEW condition. The pages are all bright and clean. There are no torn or creased pages and all of the pages are still tightly bound by the original staples. This book looks as if it were never handled or read. The condition of this book is VERY FINE. A scarce Disney title, especially in such nice condition.
