Description: First edition and printing of 'Uniform Edition'. In good minus green/blue cloth boards, gilt titles to spine. The boards are a little loose and shelf-cocked; cloth faded; spine ends slightly bumped. The front cover has slight kink on fore edge. Lightly tanned free end papers; 'East Hill House' printed in purple on both free end papers. Cut edges slightly tanned. The text block is in very good condition, tight, straight and unmarked. No dedications etc. Ovearll condition is good. Without jacket.

This was the first work produced in the Hogarth Press's Uniform Edition series.
