Price: US$28.17 + shipping

Condition: New

Description: Hardcover. With Pandora , Anne Rice began a magnificent new series of vampire novels. Now, in the second of her New Tales of the Vampires, she tells the mesmerizing story of Vittorio, a vampire in the Italian Age of Gold. Educated in the Florence of Cosimo de' Medici, trained in knighthood at his father's mountaintop castle, Vittorio inhabits a world of courtly splendor and country pleasures--a world suddenly threatened when his entire family is confronted by an unholy power. In the midst of this upheaval, Vittorio is seduced by the vampire Ursula, the most beautiful of his supernatural enemies. As he sets out in pursuit of vengeance, entering the nightmarish Court of the Ruby Grail, increasingly more enchanted (and confused) by his love for the mysterious Ursula, he finds himself facing demonic adversaries, war and political intrigue. Against a backdrop of the wonders--both sacred and profane--and the beauty and ferocity of Renaissance Italy, Anne Rice creates a passionate and tragic legend of doomed young love and lost innocence. Price: US$1595.00 + shipping

Condition: Fine

Description: A beautiful and scarce Limited "lettered" edition signed by the author on the limitation page and in place of the letter it states "Herb Yellin's Copy." This dedication makes this book the most rare of all the editions: it is in the format of the scarce 26 lettered edition as it is quarter-bound in black leather and red decorative cloth with gold titling. In fine unread condition. With the B.E. Trice imprint on the spine. Enclosed in a black cloth slipcase with "Anne Rice" in gold on the front, also in fine like new condition. It's hard to imagine that a publisher would reset the font to make this single imprint, but they did and it created a wonderful one-of-a kind edition for the late Herb Yellin who was the beloved founder and publisher of Lord John Press; he passed away in 2014 and this beautiful and scarce book is from his library.
