Description: Assumed 1st ed. Green pictorial boards. xvi,192pp + 32pp publisher's catalogue dated 1879. Illus tissue guarded illustrations by F.Church & J.Moser. Not a book which would be likely to see the light of day today but very popular of its time. The hinges are a little strained. The top corner of the ffep has been clipped by approx 2" x 2". There is also a little chipping along the outer edge of both ep's. There is also occasional tanning but generally a very clean copy for its age. The boards have some light rubbing & the corners are sl. bumped but overall a very respectable copy.
