Description: Limited to 1500 copies, this is # 1389, SIGNED on the limitation page by the illustrator, C.B. Falls. Brown leather with blind stamped front panel and gilt stamped spine. The volumew is worn with abrasions on the spine ends, has some darkening at the gutters, and the text leaves are lightly age toned. Lacking the slipcase.

Embossed full tan leather, blind-stamped lettering on front cover, gilt lettering on spine (slight shelfwear, very slight foxing to endpapers), still VG bright copy, signed by Falls on colophon, and former ownership bookplate on front pastedown. First Limited Editions Club edition, No. 1250 of 1500 copies printed, signed by the noted illustrator, Charles Buckles Falls (1874-1960). The illustrations are bold, and indicative of his famed posters, and later ABC Book, best remembered for his World War I poster, Books Wanted.

Description: Full tan decorative leather. Small quarto. xviii, 67pp. Green paper boards slipcase. Introduction by Clayton Hamilton. Illustrated by C.B. Falls. Copy #1324 of 1500 copies printed at The Marchbanks Press and signed by the illustrator. A very good copy with almost no wear at all to the leather binding. The rear cover has some light soiling at the left side. The inside gutters have some browning else the text is very good and clean. The slipcase is lightly faded but in very good condition with light wear. A lovely looking copy of this fragile work.

Fragile marbled endpapers slightly over-opened at rear hinge, some pages unopened, else a near fine copy. Containing the stories entitled "A Lodging for the Night" and "The Sire De Malétroit's Door." Copy number "5" of 1500 numbered copies Signed by C.B. Falls. Although this binding differs from the publisher's trade binding, given the early number of this copy, it is certainly possible that this is a trial or presentation binding.
