Description: 384 pp. Decorative cloth in very good- condition. The covers are soiled and their edges rubbed as to be expected with the boards just exposed at the corners. The hinges are starting but the book is very tight thoughout. The pages are remarkably clean with a light smudge in the margin of a few pages. Profusely and delightfully illustrated with vibrant colors. The red ink has lightly bled through the pages but does not affect the legibility of the text. Owner has two book plates on the front paste down and pencil name on front free end paper. Laura Bancroft is a pseudonym of L. Frank Baum, the author of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, the Oz books and many more. The illustrator is the sister of Frank Lloyd Wright. Twinkle and Chubbins collects the complete set of six previously published Twinkle Tales, including: Mr. Woodchuck, Bandit Jim Crow, Prairie-Dog Town, Prince Mud-Turtle, Twinkle’s Enchantment and Sugar Loaf Mountain. Description: A collection of six stories by Frank L. Baum written as Laura Bancroft. Illustrations by Maginel Wright Enright, sister to Frank Lloyd Wright. The book itself has slight discoloration on covers and some minor bumping of corners, an inch-long tear at the top of pages 23-50. Front flyleaf signed in ink, "Merry Christmas for Nathan from Uncle Fred and Aunt Georgie".

Description: Boxed set of six 12mo volumes, each measuring approximately 3 by 4 inches. Most are dated 1905; Peter Rabbit is dated 1911. The publisher's advertisements at the end of each book are for titles published in 1911, including 'The Magic Aeroplane' and Eight Little Japs' and 'Twinkle and Chubbins'. Hardcover, bound in original bright red paper-covered boards with pictorial pastedown to front covers surrounded by a stamped design of holly & berries. Plain red endpapers. Each book contains numerous full-page color illustrations throughout. The set is housed in the publisher's original paper-covered slipcase which is meant to look like a traveller's trunk, with labels such as "Kriss Kringle Lane", "Reindeer Express Line" et al. Books are in good to very good condition. Bindings and hinges are intact though slightly shaken. Pages are clean and unmarked with no signs of prior ownership. There is some shelf-wear and rubbing to extremities, mostly to spine ends and to the upper board corner of Night Before Christmas. The box is intact and in good shape with some wear to extremities, starting to split along one seam. There is no lid (as usual). All in all, this remains a nice example of a highly collectible set.
