Description: No Jacket. First American Edition. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Probably the least known titles of Wells's fantasy. Includes "The Magic Shop," "The Valley of Spiders," "The Inexperienced Ghost," and "The Stolen Body." Bright gilt lettering on spine and front board. The original olive green cloth binding shows some signs of very slight rubbing at the edges but otherwise, overall, the book is in very good condition. Very hard to find.

Description: Publisher's green gilt cloth with gilt top foreedge and date on title page and 'Published April, 1905' on title page. Scarce collection of Wells's early fantasy, horror and S-F stories, including first book publications of "The Magic Shop" and "A Dream of Armageddon." Boards bright and clean; spine title slightly dulled and spine lightly rubbed but presentable. Vintage designer bookplate of Sci-Fi collector John E. Northland, else no other markings. An attractive copy in a Mylar plastic jacket.
