Description: An illustrated history and survey of tokens issued by booksellers and those in the book trades. Published in an edition of 300 copies, with a portfolio of eleven tokens the author (and printer) commissioned for modern-day booksellers, papermakers, etc. Spine slightly faded, else a near fine copy in quarter-leather and paper-covered boards. This is copy 175 of 300. Laid in, as issued, are a facsimile letter about the author of an earlier book on the subject, and a printed "apologies" sheet reporting corrections. An errata slip is tipped to the colophon page. Token portfolio fine, with wrap-around band, as issued. The tokens, made of a copper alloy, are beginning to tarnish somewhat. In a near fine slipcase, as issued.
