Description: First edition, one of 250 numbered copies (from a total edition of 310). 4to. Quarter cloth with marbled paper sides, lettered in gold at the spine. With forty-four mounted hand-coloured drawings. Corner tips lightly rubbed, and with a little quite light fox spotting throughout. Several small areas of insect nibbling. A former owner, seemingly overcome by the hand-coloured illustrations, has coloured-in two of the 'o's in Beaumont's preface. Handsome former owner bookplate to the front pastedown. A good copy, somewhat better that it sounds. No dust wrapper called-for.
