Printed on heavy stock with deckle edges; numerous photographic illustrations throughout. In the scarce original dust jacket with the price of $3.00 at the top of the front inside flap. Ivory toned paper printed in green with a photo of Zane Grey playing with two black bears on the front panel. With uniform darkening to the spine and with small pieces missing along the top edges of the rear panel and to the left and right of the top of the spine. The inside front flap has ads for "When the Sportsman Wants to read: American Football, A-B-C of Gold, Camp Life, Tend-Dwellers, etc." The rear flap features books on the out-of-doors: In Berkshire Fields, Wood Folk Comedies, Sharp Eyes, and How Animals Talk." Quite uncommon in the original dust jacket, and a collectible copy to boot.
