Dustjacket has a chip out of the top of the spine about 3/4 inch off the entire top which goes over into the front cover into about a half dime sized area. Otherwise dustjacket is nice and bright in Very Good condition with slight edgewear. $ original price is present and unclipped on front dustjacket2.00 flap. The dustjacket has been placed in a Brodart protective cover by us to protect it and it looks much better than described. . This does not affect the dustjacket in any way, as all taping is done on the outside of the protector.

Description: First edition with the requisite K-V code. A fairly nice copy in orange cloth binding. Just a bit of rubbing to books spine and some dusting to the top edge. The jacket has some edgewear and chipping. There is a one and a half inch closed tear along the upper front fold, and the off white portions of the jacket display a modest touch of soiling. A near fine copy in a very good dust jacket. The first edition, published by Harper and Brothers in 1921.

Description: Illustrations by W. Herbert Dunton. Binding a little loose, but holding nicely. Pages unmarked but a little tanned. All illustrations clean. Ex-owner name. Deckled fore-edge. Dark cloth cover with gold titles and pastedown illustration -- some wear to corners and spine tips and illustration has a couple of nicks. Spine cover is faded (so title is barely legible) and slightly collapsed. No dustjacket.

Jacket with some creasing, chipping at corners and along head/tail of spine, a straight rub to front, and some closed tears to back - overall remain good plus to very good. Orange cloth over boards with black shadow image to front with orange lettering, black lettering on spine, and publishers device on rear. One corner gently bumped, rubbing to extremities, bumped head and tail of spine, remains square and solid. With brief insert, "Celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Association of Zane Grey and Harper & Brothers 1910-1930," (added in at later date based on copyright). Pencil notes from former seller on ffep. The interior is gently toned, clean, and clear. Overall very good to very good plus. Pages:(10) 311 Dimensions:7½ x 5¼ x 1½.
