Originally appeared as the frontispiece in the book Thomas Wolfe which contained the wonderful essay on Wolfe by Conroy and Moser that itself first appeared in the magazine *Southern Cultures*. This print is Signed by Moser and number 7/75. Although not marked in any way, this copy is from the distinguished modern first edition collection of Bruce Kahn.

Description: SIGNED. NUMBERED, LIMITED FIRST EDITION, 2000. Hardcover. Bound in violet purple and clay blue linen cloth. Purple covers are plain. Clay blue spine bears gilt lettering. Thomas Wolfe by Pat Conroy is published in September of 2000 by Old New York Book Shop Press of Atlanta, Georgia. It was designed and printed by Dwight Agner at The Press of the Nightowl in Athens, Georgia, from Monotype Deepdene type set by the Hill & Dale Private Press and Typefoundry, Terra Alta, West Virginia. The frontispiece engraving is by Barry Moser. There are 24 copies printed on Zerkall Cream mouldmade paper. These are lettered A to X and have an original manuscript page inserted. An additional 265 copies have been printed on Mohawk Superfine paper. Of these, 250 numbered copies were for sale. All copies are signed by the author and artist. The binding of the manuscript edition is by Wesley Baker of Auburn, Alabama. The numbered edition was bound by Campbell-Logan Bindery of Minneapolis, Minnesota. This copy is number 97 of the numbered edition. Signatures of the author and artist are at the bottom of the numbered, limited edition page at the back. 30 pp. In absolutely beautiful, fine condition. No dust jacket as issued. SIGNED by both Conroy and Moser on the limitation page. The lettered manuscript edition of this tribute by Conroy to Wolfe--his favorite writer--is rare in commerce.
