Description: This 1949 First Edition children's book is clean, solid and in great shape! The date 1949 is shown on both the title page and the copyright page (1949 First Edition). This hardcover book has some beautiful color illustrations. The binding is strong with all pages firmly attached. The pages are clean with no soiling. There is a dedication written on the first end paper. The covers are in great shape with some light edgewear. I have placed this old book in a fresh mylar jacket and it looks and feels great! We always ship in a sturdy cardboard box!

Description: This is a first printing published in 1949 by Oxford. Ms. Small in format, measuring 6½" wide by 6¾" tall, known for featuring the artist's earliest and considered by some her finest work. The dust-jacket is in very good condition with some light foxing and small closed tears and tiny chips to the corners. Back flap lists Tasha's other books: "A Tale for Easter", "Snow Before Christmas", "The White Goose" and "Mother Goose". Brown hardcover boards and pages are clean. Beautiful illustrations, very rare in dust jacket.
