Description: "The story of Mr. Waugh's voyage to the Empire of Ethiopia, and his wanderings homeward bound." Good plus, first edition, SECOND printing book, in good plus dust jacket. Yellow gold cloth colored boards with brown illustration on front board and brown lettering on spine. Upper external page edges are black tinted. The upper page edges appear to have been exposed to moisture at some point, which leached the color from the page edges and stained the boards. Edges at head and tail of board spine are split and starting to fray. Lower edges on front and back boards are rubbed through next to the spine. One other rub-through on the upper end of the back fore-edge and small rub-throughs on the fore-edge corner tips. Previous owner's name, date on FFEP. Internal damp staining limited to the upper margins of text, approx. 1/4" by up to 2 3/4". Text is not impacted. Dust jacket is sunned and heavily stained on front and back panels and spine. Loss in several places along back and front fore-edge folds. Several small holes on back jacket panel. Chips and rubs at edges at head and tail of jacket spine and fore-edge corners.
