WALLOP, DOUGLAS. The Year the Yankees Lost the Pennant. W. W. Norton & Co, New York, 1954.

Price: US$300.00 + shipping

Condition: Very Good

Description: A very bright and pleasing copy. An elaborate and lengthy gift inscription on the front free endpaper is intriguing but, to me at least, very frustrating. I believe the presenter and receiver are significant people but I can't decipher either. It begins "From One Senator to Another." It is gifted to - I think - "Chris." something and signed, I think, "Fred." something. The inscription is dated 26 Oct '54. Besides all that, the book is quite nice and has been cared for over the years. The jacket is complete with some minor edge-wear but is not price-clipped. Very Good / Very Good.
