Published by Bickers and Bush, London, 1863. A very good set of full calf leather hardbacks with raised bands, morocco labels and gilt decoration. Covers with slight wear and bumping. Most volumes are in near fine condition. Volume III has vertical splitting at the spine edges near the head and Volume VIII front cover is only loosely attached to spine and will detach soon. Endpapers with feathered marbling. Some cracking at joints. The text is near fine - generally clean, bright and soundly bound. With some spotting to fold-out sections, and some offsetting opposite frontispiece. With previous owenr's inscription dated to 1864. A handsome set. Text in English.
