Description: This is a Very Good Copy of this Book in Publisher's original full brown calf binding with black moroccan title label to spine.There are five raised bands to spine with each compartment lavishly decorated in gilt,with gilt lined borders to both and rear cover.Therer are dark blue and red marbled endpapers and with Headmaster's prize plate to the front pastedown neatly fixed in.The front cover of the book has an embossed gilt emblem of the 'Philological School Dated 1792'.There are no other names or inscriptions present apart from a neat ink small stamp of 'St Marylebone Grammar School NW1' on the recto of the engraved frontispiece and also to the final blank endpaper that also contains small ref number in ink.All page edges are marbled.Contents remain clean internally but there is some rubbing and wear evident to the head of spine and along the edges of spine and lesser extent to the corners.Only light spotting to the pre-lims.The book still sits handomely in the bookcase.8vo (xv) b & b2 648pp New Edition [1867]
