With ownership signature of American writer and academic Margaret Randall on the title page dated 1959. Randall was ordered to be deported from the US in 1985 prompting a group of distinguished writers including Mailer, Kurt Vonnegut, William Styron and Alice Walker to join her in a lawsuit against the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) among others. The case resolved in her favor in 1989.
