Description: Red cloth; gilt stamped lettering and front panel design. Top edges gilt. 10 pages of ads in rear dated October, 1896. The spine and top edge of the front panel are sunned. The corners are bumped and there is a slight spine lean. Both pastedowns and end papers are toned, a small bookseller's label resides on the front pastedown, an ink name graces the front endpaper, and both hinges are starting. Binding is still quite solid. From the Larry McMurtry collection, with is "stirrup" bookplate on the front pastedown.
