It has a little toning to the spine colouring, mild edge wear at the spine ends and light rubbing along the spine folds in places. A little dustiness and soiling to the rear panel. In the original pictorial dustwrapper, unclipped (priced 15s net at base of front flap), lightly rubbed at extremities and with a couple of shallow nicks at head and heel of spine panel, Very Good+. The Nobel Prize-winning author's second novel, set in colonial Trinidad. It was not published in the U.S. until 1982, when it was included in Knopf's omnibus volume Three Novels. Rather scarce in this condition and especially so signed.
