(approx. 12.8 x 11cm) grey paper-covered hardback with dark green titles and circular colour illustrated plate pasted to upper board. Colour illustrated endpapers. 53pp., some pages printed one side only, with 15 colour plates including frontispiece. Previous owner's ink name and date (1917) to ffep and an ink "4" to front pastedown. Rfep has small spot of damage where it has stick to facing pastedown at some point but not affecting images. Occasional light foxing and handlig marks. Spine rather tanned and boards a little soiled. Overall a VERY GOOD COPY. Gray paper covered boards with dark green lettering to spine and dark green lettering and circle surrounding a full color circular paste-on to upper board for a wonderful copy of the book. Full color pictorial endpapers. 52 pp. Full color drawings throughout by Potter illustrate this tale of a clever mouse and the cat, Miss Moppet, who tries very hard to catch said mouse but with very little to show for her efforts. This is a nice fresh copy of a title that was originally published in 1906 in a panoramic format that turned out to be not user friendly for children. The condition of the book is FINE. SCARCE
