Description: Fourth Book in The Tales of Narnia Series - This wonderful book is housed in a facsimile dustjacket in a superb condition. It was very recently reproduced from a First Edition - First Impression / Printing, from 1953 which was designed by Pauline Baynes. The dustjacket is printed on acid free paper and enclosed in a durable plastic archival sleeve for longevity and future protection. - I do not state on the dustjacket that it is a facsimile, nor do I put my business name on it. My facsimile dustjackets are a true representation of the originals, without modification. - Blue boards with silver gilt to the spine. The blue to the spine is unevenly faded. There is a little fraying to the top and bottom of the spine. Other than this, the boards are clean and tightly bound to the page block. - There are decorated endpages to the front and these have browned where there has been tape previously. Tape now gone. This is a second impression but this is covered by two small photocopied newspapers 'obituary' for C.S. Lewis to the copyright page so it appears to be a first impression, stating 'First Published 1953'. Beautifully illustrated by Pauline Baynes.- Age-browned in general. Few small areas of soiling to pages, but other than this, pages are nice and clean. - E N D - Our orders are shipped within 1 or 2 business days. - Thanks for your interest.
