Half-title and first page loose and laid in, ink notation in the margin of one page, bookseller ticket and tiny ownership stamp on endpapers, very good in a very good dust jacket with moderate edgewear, and a lightly toned spine with tiny nicks and tears. One of 2500 copies. A collection of short stories.

Pale gray end papers/ pastedowns show little to no sign of age or wear. Frontispiece is present. Illustrations, photographs, are clear. Interior is gently age-toned. Inside pages are free of writing and intentional marks. Text block is bumped at lower back corner where cover corner is bumped. See photos. Illustrated DJ is nicely preserved behind Mylar and is backed with archival paper. DJ has some edgewear, chipped corners, closed tears along head edge, bumping along foot edge, some staining to back, wear at spine shoulder. Rubbing and some scuffs to the fold and to corners. Cloth corners a little bumped. Small water stain to lower edge, which has affected the bottom edge of the text block faintly, and then slightly the front and rear pages. Text block edges a little toned. Otherwise clean internally, a lovely bright copy. Overall very good condition. 313 pp.
