Description: First printing (no indications of later printings, illustrated endpapers). Large 8vo. Grey-blue cloth with cover pasteon illustration. Second of the author's books continuing the Oz franchise. Child's bookplate on front free endpaper. Very good copy with a horizontal abrasion about midway up the height of the cover illustration (possibly due to imperfect gluing) and some tiny abrasions around the letters at the top. Lacks dust jacket. Includes a poem by Baum published for the first time. We are listing four Oz books from the same owner, the other titles are The Lost King of Oz, The Hungry Tiger of Oz, and Ozoplaning with the Wizard of Oz (all by Ruth Plumly Thompson); no extra-item charge for domestic media mail if more than one title is purchased. The Thompson titles have the signature of the owner on the page rather than a bookplate.

It shows small chips and edge wear and light rubbing and remains very good. A nice copy.
